The Shakespeare Company will be holding auditions for:
Macbeth
by William Shakespeare
Directed by Iam Coulter
Auditions: Tuesday June 1 (4:00 - 9:00 PM)
Further Auditions and Callbacks: Wednesday June 2 (5:00 - 10:00 PM)

General Auditions may be provided for those actors with whom we are not familiar. Macbeth will run at The Studio in the Vertigo Theatre Centre in Calgary, AB, October 21-31, 2010.
Rehearsal will begin in Mid-September and will run mostly evenings and weekends, however some full time weekday commitment will be required in October during tech week (October 19-21) and for Student Matinees (October 21 and 28). Auditioners will be asked to read scenes from the text and should be prepared with one Shakespeare Monologue if the company is less familiar with your work. You should also be familiar with the text and be prepared to say what roles interest you.
As casting is all about chemistry you may be required to read in several different groupings so the audition may take some time. Audition sides will be provided on the audition day if not before. Those interested should email their requests along with a resume and headshot (if we don't already have one) to Iam Coulter at iam@shakespearecompany.com. Space is limited and only those chosen for auditions will be contacted. Please note that some roles are already cast including Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
